Abstract(in English) We have developed a new planar lightwave circuit(PLC)platform structure without Si terraces for hybrid integrated optical modules. This structure is easier and less expensive to fabricate than conventional PLC platform with Si terraces. We fabricated an optical network unit module and an 8-channel wavelength division multiplexing(WDM)photoreceiver using this technology and they both performed well.
