Abstract(in English) | The interior permanent magnet (IPM) motors for electric vehicles (EV's) and the optimum control system using the motor capability to its maximum have been developed. For the motors for EV's, high-efficiency city-area running and transmissionless high-speed revolution are required. Therefor, the IPM motors have been adopted which have high torque-current ratio and high efficiency at low-speed revolution. The high-speed revolution has been attained by highly efficient field-weakening control. For this control, experiment maps are generally used, but the efficiency decreases because the output is secured by allowing excess flow to the change in the motor characteristics. This change appears in the current. The flux weakening current is controlled by use of current error. Such feedback control mechanism being provided, the current is controlled to required minimum at all times. Thus, high efficiency has been attained, and the motor controller with high torque, high-speed revolution and high-efficiency in all applicable range has been realized. |
