Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) 17GHz band has been used for the feederlink to the Broadcasting Satellite (BSAT-1)as the first operational use in Japan since August, 1997, and the equipment for the new frequency band was introduced. The various phenomena of TWT experienced during the operation of the early phase were analyzed, the causes of those were identified, and the several inprovements were adapted. Also the current stable operational status after these TWT inprovements and the study results for more stable operation are presented in this paper.
