Spectroscopic Measurement for Copper Breaking Arc by Using a CCD Color Camer and an Additional Filter.

Abstract(in English) Distributions of spectral intensity along the axis of arc column of copperbreaking arc are measured between separating electrodes in DC 50V/3.3 A and 5.O A circuits by using the spectroscopic detecting system which is constructed with a CCD color camera and an addition filter, and arc temperature and metal-vapor quantity are calculated. Measurement results are as follows;in the small number of breaking arcs, two spectral intensities are powerful near the cathode, and separating from the cathode they become Weak. In the large number of breaking arcs, spectral intensities become powerful near the anode with an increase. Then, average arc temperature in the cross section of an arc column is high near the cathode and the anode, and temperature distribution in the cross section of arc column is high at the center axis of arc column, and arc temperature along the axis of arc column are high near the cathode and the anode. The metal-vapor quantity is low near the cathode and the anode, and it is much at the center of the arc column.
