Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The maximum available electric input power for LiTaO_3 and LiNbO_3 strip-type shear mode resonator is studied.Frequency swept power signal is applied to the resonator around its resonant frequency. The input high voltage is increased, step by step and the break down of the sample is observed by current measurement. It become clear that high power input rises the temperature at the center part of the strip, causes the electric discharge due to pyroelectricity and breaks down the sample. The application of conventional anti-static spray to the surface of the chip increases drastically the available power.
