Abstract(in English) | We propose and experimentally confirm a new approach of the driving frequency selection for higher sensitivity for a LiTaO_3 piezoelectric gyroscopes. We set the driving frequency at the resonant frequency of the detecting mode. The electromechanical efficiencies of the driving transducer and the detecting transducer became down and up, respectively. As the driving frequency is not its resonant frequency, the mechanical threshold of the driving voltage would increase more than 1000 times. The high sensitivity of 0.12pC/ (deg/sec) is obtained at driving voltage 30Vpp. |
