Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In electric train current collection, sintered Cu-base alloys, sintered ferrous alloys and graphite matrix composites have been used for the slider gliding on cold-drawn Cu trolley wire. To evaluate the adaptability of valrious materials to a pantograph slider, hot-rolled steels, advanced metal matrix composites, and conductive ceramics have been tested. The results revealed that Cu-base materials same as trolley wire are subjected to heavy adhesive wear, ferrous materials would attack to trolley surface without lubricants, aluminum-matrix composites exhibits comparatively good performance even without lubricants, and conductive ceramics need to improve thermal shock resistance against are strike.
