Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Gold or gold alloys are often used on the surface of electrical contacts of electromagnetic relays that have the small size, the low power consumption and the high reliability. Because gold metal is easy to adhere and the contact opening force of miniature relay is small, the opening failures of these contacts are easy to occur. The apparatus to measure adhesive force between test contacts has been made and the adhesive forces between gold contacts or silver contacts are measured after sliding operations under less than contact force 0.5N. The measurement results are compared with the estimation values that are calculated using the method previously proposed by authors.
