Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The examined testing apparatus a torsion pendulum to meausure the modulus of rigidity, G, for a wire having a diameter of less than 1mm. The G obtained using the testing apparatus was 69~79GPa for stainless steel, 40~46GPa for copper and 82~88GPa for piano wire. The scatter of the results obtained for each material was relatively small. The effects of difference in diameter, degree of cold working subjected and low temperature on modulus of rigidity for several specimens were observed.
