Study of the basic silica-based PLC design technology

Abstract(in English) We studied the development of the silica-based PLC technology for about four years. In this development, the PLC design technology is important as same as the process technology and assembly technology of PLC device. We show our basic PLC design technologies such as the transmission mode of PLC, the Y-branch circuit loss calculation by BPM, the PDL of the optical connection between PLC and optical fiber and WDM optical filter design.
