Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A carbonaceous deposit is formed on the surface of electrodes, when the short gap discharge generates in the mixed gas of CH_4 and N_2+NO. After this pre-treatment was given, authors investigated the effect of carbonaceous deposit for NOx dissociation by floating N_2+NO gases with keeping 700 Torr of the pressure in the discharge chamber. From measurement of mass spectra by Q-mass, the species of NO decreased as a function of times and the behavior of another gases species shows the similar tendency in spite of the difference of pre-treatment condition. Authors clarified that the difference of pre-treatment conditons hardly has an effect on NOx dissociation. The species of H_2 show the different behavior in between 3,000 volts and 3,500 volts.
