Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied maintaining mechanism of the contact arc discharge. For this object, the spectrum measurement system was composed using two monochromators and a bifurcated image fiber. Arc voltage waveform, arc current waveform, Pd II(265.87nm)spectrum intensity, and Pd I(421.30nm)spectrum intensity are measured for Pd break arc(source voltage E=48V), under the variation of closed contact current(1~6A), and load inductance L(0, 1.1, 2.3mH). As a result, in the boundary closed current at which transition ratio is 50%, it is clarified that average spectrum intensity of PdII and PdI becomes constant value without depending on the circuit condition. After break arc transits to the gaseous phase, the changing tendencies of PdII spectrum intensity and arc current are similar.
