Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Microtribology is a key technology in the information equipment. In this field,atomic-scale wear and minute friction fluctuations degrade equipment performance.New hard, lubricating carbonaceous films seem to be a useful way to reduce these problems.Carbon has both a super hard diamond crystal structure and a solid lubricating graphite structure. The proper combination of these crystal structures can produce hard, lubricating films. This paper discussed micro-tribological properties and possible applications for information equipment of carbonaceous films. |
