Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To research into the relationship between surface polishing conditions and life characteristics of the reed swich,we prepared two types of reed switch, one uses the reed applied with barreling to remove burr generated when reed was pressed, the other uses that unapplied with barreling but its ends were machined so as to not be influenced with burr. In result,a more prominent life characteristics can be obtained in the latter sample than the former one under the condition of middle-level load although no difference was found in both under the condition of low-level load. By research using EPMA,it is ascertained that the above result has been caused from that the abrasive used in barreling remains on the contact surface to influence the reed switch.
