Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Products consisting of polymer are widely used in industry. Adhesion between a coated film and a substrete is a serious problem affecting the life of coating films.Generally, means for improving adhesion in films formed by vapor deposition include heating or corona discharge treatment of the substrate. In this study,we report the properties of deposition films assisted by Ar^+ ion beam irradiation during the initial evaporation and of ordinary vapor deposition files. These results suggest that it may be possible to improve film properties by Ar^+ ion beam irradiation.
