| Abstract(in English) | Contact performance of static contacts sometimes degrades,when such contacts are subjected to fretting.In this paper,fretting characteristics of platinum and palladium that are mated to other metals were studied.The following results were obtained. (1)Fairly good behavior is obtained on platinum when mated to precious metals or to some base metals. (2)Fretting palladium-palladium and palladium mated to some base metals have bad performance on the point of view of contact resistance. (3)These contact performances of fretting platinum group metals are influenced by atmosphere containing alcohol vapor. |
