Abstract(in English) We have investigated the parameters which determine the saturation power in MQW amplifiers and found a linear relationship between the saturation power and the pump current.In a tapered amplifier with 4-quantum-wells,saturation power exceeds 70 mW with a 10 dB gain.We demonstrated 120 km optical transmission experiments at 2.5 Gb, s using the amplifier as an optical booster. The bit-error-rate curve is straight to 10^-11> by keeping the saturation output power higher than the average output power by^~ 9> dB.
