Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To analyze nonlinear integrated optics,we propose the numerical method which is the Crank-Nicolson finite difference beam propagation method with iterative calculation to converge the solution. With this method,we analyzed nonlinear TE stationary waves propagating in the dielectric slab waveguide with Kerrlike nonlinear cladding. We also analyzed linear TE dominant mode excitation of this waveguide. We discussed the numerical results, and showed propriety and validity of the present method.
