Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that a break arc generally consists of metallic arc and gaseous arc and that usually metallic arc precedes gaseous arc. In some cases, however, when the current is small, gaseous arc ignites without metallic arc or metallic arc is observed, without succeeding gaseous arc. In addition, the duration of these arcs seems to be random at first sight. On the basic idea that these processes should be simplified to distinguish the critical current for arc ignition rate, I am trying to study the arc duration distribution only for metallic arc.
