Abstract(in English) | We demonstrated a feasibility of a STS-type PLC platform, where a silica-waveguide is formed on a terraced silicon substrate, by applying it to hybrid integration of various kinds of optical active devices and to opto-electronic hybrid integration. The PLC platform technology will contribute to realizing low-cost, high-performance optical modules as well as opto-electronic signal processing modules. |
