Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The proposed connector-simulation model makes it easy to analyze the effect of pin assignment on signal transmission characteristics. Conventional connector-simulation models assume fixed signal-pin and ground-pin assignments, and zero potential for the ground pins. However, there are many possible pin assignments from the system design viewpoint. The proposed model allows the pin assignments to be varied and the ground pins can have non-zero potential, so the electrical characteristic of ground noise can be estimated. The f1t between the simulation results and the measured results had an error rate less than 10%. Therefore, this connector-simulation method can be used to evaluate the characteristics of signal transmission systems and thereby obtain the high-speed signal transmission performance.
