Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fiber skew is one of the important factors which determine the system specifications in parallel optical transmission. It was estimated how skew depends on number of channels. Fiber skew of 12-array fiber ribbon was measured and it was confirmed that fiber skew is proportional to the propagation distance. The result of measurement suggests that there is a dominant origin of fiber skew besides fiber preform.
