Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Because of the requirement of small size and low exciting power for relays, gold is often used as the surface of electrical contacts. Electrical contacts mounted on the relays occurs a straight back-and-forth sliding motion. Contact resistance before and after slide and adhesive force is maesured when a straight back-and-force sliding motion is given between gold electrical contacts. As a result of this experiment, we observed that distribution of contact resistance and adhesive force are different between the area that adhesive force increases according to increase of sliding motion and the area that adhesive force is almost constant.
