Abstract(in English) The vibration patterns of metallic boards (○type, □type, △type) were measured by using a new measuring system (Holographic Pattern Measuring System:HPMS), which is composed of both techniques of holography and graphic image processing. And the relationships between the vibration pattern and sound characteristics was investigated from the experimental results. As the results, the different vibration patterns were found with the shapes of vibration boards. And, different relationship between the sound the characteristics and vibration patterns could be made clear.
