Abstract(in English) A hybrid integrated wavelength converter module with an SS-SOA array on a PLC platform was fabricated by using a passive alignment technique with glay-scale recognization of infra-red reflected image of the markers. Attractive characteristics were obtained such as a low insertion loss at 4.2dB and a low operating current for the SOA less than 15mA. In adittion, clear eye pattern was observed for a 622 Mbit/s signal. This module is promising for optical cross-connects in future photonic networks.
