Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A Magenetoresistive Effect Material is made from a large magnetic alloy. Its strong points are that it is small-sized, highly sensitive and has a semi-permanent life. We developed the sensor using this material in order to amounts of flowing water. This is difficult to do using Reed Switches because then have mechanical contacts. We can replace Reed Switches which have digital output with the large magnetoresistive effect element connected to the circuit by changing an analog output for a digital output. Furthermore, sensor has not only a semi-permanent life, but it has a higher response time than Reed Switches.
