Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Movement-related neuromagnetic fields (MRFs) during finger movement in human are known to include the motor field (MF) and the movement-evoked field I (MEF-I) located at left sensorimotor cortex. The current study tried to reveal the relationship between MRFs and temporal movement profiles. To this end, we used a linear-regression model to reconstruct MRFs from muscle force, muscle length and muscle lengthening velocity. We showed that, by the least square error method, the temporal patterns of MRFs were successfully reconstructed for appropriate coefficients and time lags. Our result suggests that MF represents the active force during movement and MEF-I is evoked by sensory feedback that reflects lengthening of the muscles.
