Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Classical conditioning is one of the most fundamental conditioning paradigms in learning. In this study, we used a microelectrode technique to see how the information processing performed in Hippocampus and Gustatory cortex during conditioned taste aversion learning based on the classical conditioning paradigm. Sucrose solution was given as Conditioned stimuli [CS] where Lithium Chloride was applied as Unconditioned stimuli [UCS]. As a result, we found that unit activities in Gustatory cortex showed remarkable differences only after conditioning of CS-UCS pairing, while hippocampal activity did not show so much difference through the task.
