Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A tetrode recording system was constructed for multi-channel multi-unit recording of neuronal activities in hippocampal slices. In sorting the neuronal spikes, new spike-feature parameters that reflect shape of the spikes were developed. in addition, Hierarchical cluster analysis and discriminant analysis were adopted for clustering spikes. By the system, CA3 neuronal activities were recorded in hippocampal slices in response to single pulses and θ-burst stimulation to mossy fiber(mf). Stimulus-to-response characteristics and the cross-correlation statistics were analyzed. The results suggest that the hippocampal CA3 network could be reconstructed by the θ-burst stimulation to the mf.
