Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the human circadian system, there exist the reports that non-photic time-cues work on the sleep-wake rhythm as well as the circadian pacemaker. Since sleep-wake pattern is under control of circadian pacemaker while non-photic time-cues affect circadian pacemaker through sleep-wake schedule, there exist feedback mechanisms in the circadian system. In this study, the phase dynamic model with feedback mechanisms was constructed. On the base of two oscillator model, Osc I and Osc II drives melatonin rhythm and sleep-wake rhythm, respectively. In addition, the overt sleep-wake rhythm is introduced, which behaves like an oscillator. Three oscillators are mutually coupled, where the cumulative feedback mechanisms are implemented by modulating the coupling strength. The model constructed here gave us the behavior and the interpretation of circadian system.
