Abstract(in English) The equipment to recognize Japanese characters for visually impaired persons was constructed. The equipment can display the characters as the convexoconcave of 16×16 pins using small air cylynder pins in area 68×68mm. Although the equipment has become a large-size, it is useful one to recognize the shape of characters for visually impaired persons.
