Gene extraction of Escherichia coli O157 by the metal coating hollow fiber membrane

Abstract(in English) We have reported that the gene was effectively extracted by the metal coating hollow fiber membrane. In this report, we showed the new method for the gene extraction using the electrophoresis. Escherichia coli O157 was trapped on the metal coating hollow fiber membrance. After the cell membrane of E.coli was lysed chemically, the E.coli O157 gene was extracted by electrophoresis. As result, the vero toxin 1-gene of E.coli O157 was detected from stool samples contained 4×10^5 of E.coli O157. Therefore, It is possible to apply this gene extraction system to the examination in the early stage of the E.coli O157 gene.
