Abstract(in English) A new method of the gene extraction which was important for the gene diagnosis was proposed in this paper. Herpes simplex virus was concentrated in the metal coating hollow fiber membrane which was coated with metal, and then the extraction of viral gene by electrophoresis was attempted after the viral envelope and capsid were lysed chemically. As a result, the target gene of the virus was detected from 5×10^4 TCID_<100>/ml of the viral suspension. The time which is necessary for this gene extraction was less than 10 minutes. This extraction system has a possibility that it is automated because no other apparatus are needed than the power supply and the pump.
