Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing a system for non-invasive and real-time measurement of visco-elastic properties in subcutaneous tissues using a vibration technique. In this study, to improve the system in term of"size"and "weight", a small sized vibration device using a direct current motor with a cam mechanism was developed and preliminary study for measurement of visco-elastic properties in subcutaneous tissues in motion was carried out. From the results obtained, it was clearly demonstrated that, using this system, visco-elastic properties in subcutaneous tissues were continuousuly monitored even in motion, and that the system could be a useful mean for quantitative evaluation of"fatigue"in musucle.
