Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have been developing a non-conscious automatic system in lavatory for monitoring body weight, amount of excretion, pulse rate and so on, and its accuracy and some results for long-term monitoring were already reported. In this study, applicability of a volume-oscillometric method for blood pressure measurement in thigh was evaluated expecting the use in a lavatory. From the results obtained using young healthy male subjects, it was demonstrated that, even though individual difference was seen in the appropriate sensor position, typical photoplethysmographic pulsation change associated with increase or decrease in cuff pressure was clearly observed, and that the method seemed to be applicable for non-conscious monitoring of blood pressure in a lavatory. |
