Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe the information network system for supporting the daily life of elderly people and for reducing the burden of care. Frequently, there is no space to add the wires in older homes inhabited by the elderly, and it would be expensive to develop a new network system. We therefore used the power line network. To evaluate the power line network, we developed the remote ECG monitoring system as WWW application, and we measured the time of transfer. The result showed this network system has the function equivalent to the traditional network system.
