Infrared sensor for the walking support of visually handicapped.

Abstract(in English) Infrared sensor system using pyroelectrics film (PVDF) has been proposed as walking support apparatus which supports the walking of the visually handicapped. For the purpose of the development of thin type infrared sensor in which this study is a core of sensor system, the basic configuration of this infrared sensor was discussed on basis of experimental result, and design data of the element which constitutes the infrared sensor unit were obtained. The sensor unit was produced experimentally, and each element as the sensor was evaluated. By these experiments, it was possible to obtain a knowledge with the quantitativity for the sensor unit design of the proposal.
