Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present study, we investigated the spatial auditory directional discrimination performance of human being, using a movable three-D sound stimulator and its control apparatus. To investigate the effect of the body position in the spatial auditory discrimination, we conducted the discrimination experiment in 0-(supine), 45-and 90-(upright) degree body positions. Moreover, to investigate the dependence of the spatial auditory discrimination on sound directions, we analyzed the discrimination performance in each sound direction. The results showed that the auditory discrimination performance depended on the body positions and sound directions, and the directional dependence changed in each body position. Especially, in the 0-degree body position in which the body axis was orthogonal to the gravitational axis, discrimination performance lowered in the backsides of the subject.
