Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study was to improve the thrust of a linear actuator for a powered prosthetic hand. A unique coil configuration, which consists of magnetic and non-magnetic wires, was devised. The magnetic wire enhances the magnetic flux density in the magnetic circuit, and the non-magnetic wire controls the derection of magnetic flux. Electric current is applied to the magnetic wire. Compared to a conventional actuator, the prototype linear actuator had an improvement in its thrust, which was proved through the magnetic field analysis and the test results. |
