Analysis of Bifurcations in an Averaged Equatiorn for a Sleep-Wake Oscillator Model

Abstract(in English) We have proposed a coupled oscillator model for sleep-wake rhythm and obtained bifurcations of periodic solutions in the model equation. In this paper, we investigate solutions observed in an averaged equation for quasi-periodic oscillations in the model, we show (1) transitions between almost synchronized and nonsynchronized rhythms ; and (2) a mechanism of the generation of various properties in the jet-lag from the view point of dynamical system.
