Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A neural network model for quadruped gait transitions is proposed. For each gait pattern, the corresponding neural network model is constructed by adding specific units to a four coupled neural oscilators with reciprocal inhibition. The gait transitions are generated by switching the structure of the model. They were compared with the gait transitions of quadrupeds among walk, trot and gallop or bound.
