Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A generation scheme of carrier motion pattern for cilia under genetic algorithm is considered. The structure of cilia is approximately modeled by two links. To control the motion of each link, a central pattern generator (CPG) in which the actuator is integrated is introduced. The dynamics of the CPG is represented by a set of nonlinear differential equations. Each CPG is mutually connected to the adjacent CPGs to achieve cooperative carrier motion among the cilia. Computer simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme is effective to generate the carrier motion pattern of the cilia.
