Parameter Estimation of Lumped Element Equivalent Circuits for Tissue in Two Layers

Abstract(in English) Equivalent circuits representing tissue impedances in the beta dispersion region are dealt with here. The circuits composed of lumped elements (resistance and capacitance) are used because of easiness and usefulness for corresponding circuit elements to tissue structures, especially from a viewpoint of tissue diagnoses. A six parameters equivalent circuit which is composed of some three elements circuits is considered for the tissue in two layers. A simplified Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is applied for estimating parameter values of the equivalent circuits from given impedance data. It was found from computer simulations that the algorithm can estimate the parameter values of the circuit which corresponded to each layer in high precision, if usable the data in frequency points above characteristic frequencies determined by relaxation time.
