Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hand position or haptic target position can be acquired by limb proprioception and retained in the brain memory until reaching or pointing to the positions is performed after some memory period. It is not known yet whether that 3D position information is represented by a space reference frame or a head reference frame. We investigated accuracy of right-handed pointing to a memorized target position acquired previously by locating the left or right hand. It is suggested that the spatial target position acquired by a different limb from the one used in later pointing is represented by a space reference frame.
