Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Autonomic function indicators of heart rate variability and respiratory variability related with mental stress and cumulative fatigue were assessed by using time series and spectral analyses under a light mental workload. These indicators were compared with subjective questionnaires from which the mental fatigue state can be abstracted well. Based on the assessment of autonomic functions, feed-forward neural networks having the inputs of 19 indicators were constructed for assessing individual states of vigor and fatigue, and availability of the networks was obtained.
