Noninvasive Method for Simulation of Aortic Artery Pressure Wave-form by Five Element Electric Circuit Arterial Model

Abstract(in English) In the former report, we proposed an extended electric circuit arterial model with the arrangement of separated blood resistance and compliance at central and peripheral part of artery. We also proposed a noninvasive method to appraise the circulatory system by calculating the circuit constants of the circuit model. This time, we show on experimental results, where the change of aortic pressure wave-forms under the dosage of vasodilator drug were measured for 20-40 years-old healthy 7 men, and then applied the results to calculating the circuit constants. These works showed the different changes of circuit constants and the chages on aortic pressure wave-form, systolic and diastolic pressure values, and shape of wave-form were correlated. From these results, we believe that more reliable estimation on the changes of circulatory system is possible, if it is combined with traditional methods such as using systolic and diastolic pressure value and heart rate.
