| 抄録(和) | 標準食及び高コレステロース食で飼育した家兎の総頸動脈に, 外科的手法により軸対称の狭窄を施し, その血管を術後3～20週で摘出して組織標本を作製・観察することによって, 血管径及び管壁の組織構造における変化について調べた.その結果, 標準食で飼育した全ての家兎の総頸動脈には顕著な狭窄後拡張が起こっていることが判った.これに対して, 高コレステロール食で飼育した家兎では, 標準食群に比べて拡張の程度, 領域とともに小さく, 拡張が全く生じていない例も見られた.また, いずれの場合でも, 拡張を生じた領域においては, 組織構造の変化を伴いながら中膜の厚さが減少していることが判った.以上より, 狭窄後拡張形成の過程は, 血流の変化に対する血管の適応的再構築の過程と類似しており, それには血中における総コレステロールの濃度が影響していることが示唆された. |
| 抄録(英) | The changes in vessel diameter and wall structure that occur down stream of a stenosis were studied experimentally by creating an axisymmetric stenosis on the common carotid artery of the rabbit. It was found that a poststenotic dilatation occurred in all the rabbits fed on normal diet, but not in all the rabbits fed on cholesterol-rich diet. Detailed examination of histologic specimens revealed that in regions where dilatation occurred, the decrease in the thickness of tunica media was accomplished by a modification of wall structure. The results suggest that the process of the formation of a poststenotic dilatation is very similar to that of adaptive reconstruction of arterial wall which occur to an artery exposed to extremely high shear flows, and it is affected by the concentration of cholesterol in blood. |
