Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In visual physiology experiments,it is obviously desirable to manipulate the photostimulus parameters as flexibly and quickly as possible.Traditionally, however, the apparatus involves mechanical movements of optical filters, mirrors, and shutters. This feature is not only clumsy but also often induces vibrations that affect recording. To circumvent this problem as well as to increase the experimental efficiency and versatility,we developed a color display system for the stimulus generation. The monitoring, recordingpart was also computerized by replacing analog equipments by digital devices with home-made softwares. The whole apparatus is outlined here, along with test examples dealing with retinal neurons.
