Abstract(in English) The retinal bipolar cell has a Laplacian-Gaussian-like(∇^2G-like )receptive field.The function of the bipolar cell receptive field was analysed with an equivalent resistive network model and standard regularization problems.The response of bipolar cell was found to minimizes a cost function which consists of two terms relating to the second derivative and the smoothing of images.The structure and function of the present model was compared to other ∇ ^2G-like hardware models proposed previously.
