Fluctuation of heart beat interval under controlled respiration

Abstract(in English) We aim to clarify characteristics of the endogenous oscillator related to the cardiac rhythm.To this end,a system of simultaneous measurent of the R-R interval and the respiratory stage is developed and effect of the respiration on the cardiac rhythm is analyzed by controlling durations of respiration stages.It is reported that the R-R interval decreases at the inbreathe stage, while increase of the R-R interval is caused by the stage after the inbreathe.
